If you want to talk with someone
The Harvard community can obtain information about how to receive medical and counseling services from Harvard University Health Services by calling 617-998-4847 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and at all other times by calling 617-495-5711. Mental Health Services may also be contacted directly by calling Janet Cooper at 617-496-0270.
Harvard's EAP (Employee Assistance Program) can help you cope with your own response to the crisis, or with the responses of family, friends, and co-workers. They are available 24 hours a day:

Community Gifts Through Harvard - Tsunami Disaster Relief

Besides making donations, there are many ways to help. Here are just a few links:
The National Virtual Translation Center is a federal interagency organization that is currently looking for people proficient in the languages used in the relief area and willing to volunteer time to support the tsunami relief effort.
The Idealist, a project of Action Without Borders will connect you with volunteer opportunities locally and abroad.
Harvard's Office of Work/Life Resources * provides information on Harvard's adoption and child-care related programs and policies for people who are considering adopting a child orphaned by this disaster. These include adoption scholarships, paid time off, child-care scholarships, and more.
Sri Lankan Medical Association of North America
Collecting and sending medical supplies for Sri Lankan tsunami relief.
