NASA astronaut and space shuttle veteran Stephanie Wilson ’88 addresses a group of students from Boston and Cambridge public schools as part of the Harvard Foundation’s annual science conference ‘Advancing Minorities and Women in Science, Engineering, and Mathematics,’ which included experiments and lectures conducted by Harvard faculty and undergraduates. ‘We must introduce boys and girls to science as early as possible,’ said S. Allen Counter, director of the Harvard Foundation. ‘Astronaut Wilson was a superb role model for the visiting school children, and she shared her experience in space and gave an inspirational talk on the value of science.’
