HPT Woman, Man of the Year festivities move up a week

Fans of starlets and leading men might want to note that this year, Hasty Pudding Theatricals (HPT) will honor its Woman and Man of the Year on Feb. 7 and 15, respectively — a week earlier than in years past.

Though the recipients have yet to be named, the Woman of the Year festivities include a parade through the streets of Cambridge, a roast, and the presentation of the coveted Pudding Pot. After the roast, several numbers from “Fable Attraction” — HPT’s 160th production — will be previewed at the recently refurbished New College Theatre (NCT), located at 12 Holyoke St.

A week later, the Man of the Year event will take place. It also includes a roasting of the honoree and presentation of the Pudding Pot, in addition to the opening night performance of HPT’s latest production.
