Hopkins picked Ancient Eight Player of the Week

The Ivy League has named senior safety John Hopkins its Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Harvard football team’s 32-15 dismissal of host Cornell on Oct. 6. Against the Big Red, Hopkins led Harvard (2-2; 2-0 league) with 10 tackles, an interception, and two pass breakups. He leads the Crimson, who are first in the league in rushing defense, with 24 stops on the season.
