Hagamen scores NCAA saber title

Senior saberist Tim Hagamen edged Notre Dame’s Patrick Ghattas, 15-14, in the gold medal bout of the NCAA national championships March 23 in Madison, N.J., to become the first Harvard man to win an individual title in the saber event. The senior’s performance paced the Crimson men and women to a sixth-place team showing.
