Leading by example
A color guard begins the event at the Kennedy School (Feb. 20) that honored the men and women of the KSG and Business School who have served their country in wartime. Using examples such as the lieutenant colonel who insisted on standing between his men and possible explosive devices they were inspecting, the panelists repeatedly returned to two critical factors in successful leadership: the importance of leading by example and their dedication to the people under their command.
