Now in its third year of operation, the Australia-Harvard Fellowship supports innovative researchers who may be planning collaborative work with Australian research organizations. Sponsored by the Harvard Club of Australia (HCA) Foundation, the fellowship aims to support learned exchange between the University and Australia.

Fellowship applicants must be primarily based at Harvard and have a persuasive plan to collaborate with Australia's best science researchers. If chosen, projects will be awarded up to 40,000 Australian dollars (approximately U.S. $30,000).

The HCA Foundation aims to attract quality applicants whose work will bring clear benefits to host and instituter. Although the scope of its current program is limited to science and technology, expansion to other disciplines may occur when more funds become available.

In practice, the award monies are donated to eligible Australian research institutions, which then administer the monies' expenditure. Each award should fund a successful applicant for one visit of up to three months.
