'Joyful Noise,' Harlem Gospel Choir to honor Kings

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Joyful Noise - the annual gospel concert honoring the legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. - the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center (CMAC) will present the Harlem Gospel Choir at Sanders Theatre on Jan. 13.

This year's concert will also offer a special tribute to Coretta Scott King and her work in civil rights and human rights.

The Rev. Gloria White-Hammond will be the 'mistress of ceremonies for the evening, reflecting on the life of Coretta Scott King. The program will also include a musical selection by the Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School Chorus. The event, which is sponsored by Harvard's Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs, kicks off at 8 p.m.

For tickets ($20 general public; $15-10 for CMAC members, students, seniors, and children under 12), call or visit the Harvard Box Office, (617) 496-2222.
