Police reports


Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending Nov. 27. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor, and is available online at http://www.hupd.harvard.edu/.

Nov. 24: Officers were dispatched to Eliot House on a report of a suspicious individual in the building. Officers checked the building with negative results.

Nov. 25: An unattended credit card and $200 were reported stolen from Blodgett Pool. An officer was dispatched to Pierce Hall on a report of smoke. Upon arrival, the officer detected smoke and the smell of burning rubber. The Cambridge Fire Department was dispatched and extinguished a small electrical fire in the hall's basement. The building was deemed safe for re-entry.

Nov. 26: Officers assisted the Boston Police Department (BPD) in locating a fleeing suspect in the area of Whittier Street. The individual was placed under arrest by BPD.

Nov. 27: A flat-screen TV valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from Larsen Hall. An officer was dispatched to the School of Public Health to take a report of an attempted theft. Upon arrival the officer was informed that a computer had been damaged as well as a desk drawer. No items were reported stolen. An unattended iPod was reported stolen from the Warren Alpert Building.
