Unarmed robbery reported on Banks, Cowperthwaite streets

This past Monday (Nov. 27) at approximately 5:40 p.m., a female graduate student reported to the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) that she was robbed at the corner of Banks and Cowperthwaite streets. The victim stated that after walking by two males standing in front of a convenience store she was struck in the head several times and fell to the ground. The two suspects then took her wallet and fled the area. The victim, who was not injured, was unable to provide a detailed description of the suspects.

Because this incident did not occur on University property, it is being investigated by CPD. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please contact CPD's Criminal Investigation Division at (617) 349-3370.
