Memorial services upcoming for Bower, Symonds, Clausen


Symonds memorial service on Nov. 13 at Agassiz Theatre

A memorial service for Alan Symonds, technical director for Harvard College Theatre Programs under the Office for the Arts at Harvard, will be held Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. in Agassiz Theatre. Symonds died of heart failure on June 20 in Cambridge, Mass.

Bower memorial service set for Dec. 3

A memorial service for Nancy Milender Bower '61, former research assistant to Professor Emeritus James Duesenberry (economics), the Littauer Center, and the Murray Center at Radcliffe, will be held Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. in the Memorial Church. Bower died Sept. 19 at the age of 66.

Clausen dead at 83; memorial service upcoming

Wendell Vernon Clausen, Pope Professor of the Latin Language and Literature Emeritus, died Oct. 12 in Belmont, Mass. He was 83 and had been in declining health after suffering a stroke in August 2005.

A memorial service will be held Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. in the Memorial Church. The service will be followed by a reception.
