Return to the gulag
Beginning today (Nov. 2), a four-day conference on the history and legacy of the Soviet-era gulag - the largest ever international event of its kind - will be held at Harvard, while 'Territories of Terror,' an exhibition curated by Harvard's Svetlana Boym, opens at BU. Both are free and open to the public. Above, a detail of 'Archeologist's Collection' by Grisha Bruskin. (Staff photo Emily Berl/Harvard News Office) Full story |
