Orchestra auditions for ‘Der Rosenkavalier'

The Lowell House Opera will commence open orchestra auditions this weekend for its March 2007 production of Richard Strauss' "Der Rosenkavalier." Established in 1938, the Lowell House Opera features a mix of Harvard students and Boston-area students and professionals. Auditions will be held in Lowell House Oct. 14, 15, and 18. Rehearsals will begin in January.

Invigorating, enlightening walk through Harvard Yard

Harvard's CommuterChoice Program is hosting a walk with nature experts through Harvard Yard on Oct. 13. A group will meet at the John Harvard Statue at noon. The walk is open to all members of the University community.
