HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES
Wherefore art thou a strawberry Danish?Due to changing lifestyles and hectic schedules, the A.R.T. is looking to identify innovative, convenient ways of allowing audience members - including retirees, stay-at-home moms and dads, and college faculty and staff - to attend the theater. Based on its success, the A.R.T. hopes to offer a "Breakfast at the A.R.T." performance for several productions each season. For the Feb. 28 launch, audience members will enjoy a breakfast of coffee and pastries at 9 a.m., followed by brief remarks from associate artistic director Gideon Lester, and a performance of "Romeo and Juliet" at 10 a.m. Spearheading this latest initiative are friends of the A.R.T. Lenore Gustafson, Sara Cabot, Rachael Goldfarb, Lisa Pierpont, and Yuriko Young. Tickets for the event are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, and are available online (http://www.amrep.org/breakfast), or through the A.R.T. box office by calling (617) 547-8300.
