Tennis camp, everyone?

Register Jan. 2

The Tennis Camps at Harvard (TCH), one of the area's most appealing summer activities for children and adults, will start its 16th season on June 12 at the Beren Tennis Center at Soldiers Field Athletic Complex.

With the camps' popularity growing, many sessions sell out early. The camps offer a discount (subject to availability) if registrations are completed and submitted by Feb. 15 for junior sessions (and a multiple-week discount as well). April 15 is the deadline for the adult early sign-up discount. Sign-ups begin Jan. 2.

Happily for those who have to work for a living, the kids are not the only ones who have a great time. TCH offers adult classes on weekday evenings and weekends for both recreational and elite players, from June 12-Aug. 18.

The junior camps offer 10 one-week camps, beginning on June 12 and running through Aug. 18. While campers often sign up for multiple weeks, each Monday through Friday session is a complete unit. This season, TCH is offering something for every age with the following age-appropriate programs:

  • Boosters (4- to 5-year-olds)
  • Super B's (6- to 7-year-olds)
  • Juniors (8- to 10-year-olds)
  • Junior Advanced Training Program ( 11- to 12-year-olds)
  • Advanced Training Program (13- to 17-year-olds)
