Lin, Menand
Maya culture
Twenty-five years ago, as a 21-year-old senior at Yale, Maya Lin won a national competition with her design for the Washington, D.C., Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Harvard's Louis Menand spoke with her on Dec. 1 about the myriad of projects she's worked on since, including more memorials, sculpture, chapels, clothing, furniture, and a bakery.
