The award, which was given to three additional individuals, honors those in the arts or public service whose lives exemplify the ideals of St. Philip Neri, who founded the oratory and is known as the Saint of Joy. The award ceremony publicly honors individuals for "illuminating the horizon of human experience in their vocations and professions."
