HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES

Founded in 1780 and based in Cambridge, Mass., the academy is an independent research center that conducts multidisciplinary studies of complex and emerging problems. Current academy research focuses on science and global security, social policy, education, and the humanities and culture.

The 14 Harvard affiliates join 182 other fellows and 17 foreign honorary members to be named to the association.
