More than 400 women from top colleges and universities across the country will be attending the convention. Serving as panelists will be 40 accomplished career women who have excelled in a variety of industries, including finance, advertising, and entrepreneurship. Janet Hanson, managing director at Lehman Brothers, and founder of Milestone Capital and the 85 Broads network will deliver a morning keynote address. Anne Erni, chief diversity officer of Lehman Brothers, will deliver the lunch keynote.

Additionally, HUWIB will be offering attendees the chance to learn firsthand information about the business school admission process with a special presentation from Harvard Business School admissions officers. A "Dress for Success" event, sponsored by Brooks Brothers, will give attendees a sense for business fashion. Attendees will also have the chance to have their resume reviewed and circulated to all of the conference's sponsors and recruiters, who include Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse First Boston, UBS, Boston Consulting Group, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and PJ Solomon.

The the purpose of the convention, according to HUWIB, is "to ultimately help every young woman broaden her horizons, network with professionals, and take ownership of her career."
