Weissmans send students 'round the world

For the past 12 years, the Weissman International Internship Program, established by Paul ('52) and Harriet Weissman in 1994, has provided nearly 225 sophomores and juniors with the opportunity to participate in an international internship in a field of work related to their academic and career goals. The Weissman Program enables students to develop a richer understanding of the global community in which they live and work, and provides an opportunity for them to share their experiences with the Harvard community when they return.

This year's 31 Weissman Interns will work in a wide range of private and public sector organizations in the arts, business, education, international development, law, media, medicine, public service, and science. Four of the 20 countries that the interns will visit this year are new destinations for the Weissman Program: East Timor, Mongolia, Singapore, and Venezuela.

The 2005 Weissman International Internship Program recipients are: Woong Hwan Bae '07, Nancy Cheng '07, Sakura Christmas '07, Rachel Greenblatt '07, May Habib '07, Jayme Herschkopf '06, Chris Hughes '06, Robert Jellinek '07, Jinu Koola '07, Elena Krieger '06, Elizabeth Linos '07, Christine Mikolajuk '07, Jennifer Morse '07, Michael Muldoon '07, Elizabeth Panarelli '07, Yeunbee Park '07, Ravi Ramchandani '07, Steve Rivera '07, Nicole Rosner '07, Ashley Shuyler '07, Sam Simon '06, Chris Skarinka '07, Annelise Sterne '07, Firas-Eugen Taso '06, Clayton Thomas '06, Meghan Tieu '07, Daniel Wilner '07, Michelle Yang '07, Alberta Yen '07, Fang Yuan '07, and Evelyn Zwiebach '07.
