HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES
Research in briefAirway response mechanism in asthma investigatedA mechanism that helps explain how airways respond to constriction in asthma has been identified by Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) researchers. The discovery strengthens the basic science known about a disease that affects an estimated 17 million Americans, and also introduces a previously unrecognized means by which physical changes outside the cell can affect cell behavior. The finding was described in the May 6 issue of Nature. See full story, http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/now/
