GSE's Wendy Luttrell appointed to associate professorship

Harvard Graduate School of Education Dean Ellen Condliffe Lagemann recently appointed Associate Professor Wendy Luttrell to the Nancy Pforzheimer Aronson Associate Professorship in Human Development and Education. Luttrell focuses her research on how schools shape gender, race, class, sexual identities, and self-understandings. Most recently, she published "Pregnant Bodies, Fertile Minds: Race, Gender and the Schooling of Pregnant Teens" (Routledge, 2003).

Chefs capture gold

For the second straight year, Harvard University Dining Services' (HUDS) chefs have won prestigious American Culinary Federation (ACF) Gold Medals. In competition earlier this month at the National Association of College and University Food Service (NACUFS) Northeast Regional Conference, Executive Chef for Residential Dining Martin Breslin took first place, and an ACF gold, for his recipe of alfonso olive oil-crusted salmon, while Executive Chef for Crimson Catering Ludger Wessels took third place, and also earned an ACF gold. Breslin will represent the Northeast region at the national NACUFS competition this July in Las Vegas.
