'Movie Time' arrives at Harvard

To celebrate the beginning of the new academic year, President Lawrence H. Summers has announced "It's Movie Time at Harvard," a free outdoor film screening to be held at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 22) in Tercentenary Theatre. The event is open to members of the University community and their families, and will feature complimentary sodas and popcorn.

The feature presentation will be "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." The film was selected in a campus vote conducted on Sept. 13; other contenders were "Casablanca," "Men In Black," "North By Northwest," and "Legally Blonde."

"This event is for everyone on campus, so it was important to me that the students, faculty, and staff be involved in selecting the film," explained Summers.

Informal ground seating for "It's Movie Time at Harvard" will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Tercentenary Theatre (between Memorial Church and Widener Library). The feature presentation will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. Popcorn and sodas will be provided; no bottles or coolers will be permitted.
