Player of the Year
|
Harvard softballer Tiffany Whitton
'03 was recently named the 2002 Ivy League Player of the Year after pacing
the Ivies with a .426 batting average and 45 RBIs (in 36 games). Whitton, a
three-position utility player, blasted 12 homers over the course of the
season -- a Harvard record -- leading the offensive charge for the Crimson,
who finished in second place with a 12-2 record in league play. She is the
fourth Harvard player to earn Player of the Year honors since 1998. Whitton
is shown here rounding the bases after one of her 22 career homers against
the University of Rhode Island last month. (Staff photo by Jon Chase)
