AMD Program accepting applications

The Advanced Management Development (AMD) Program at the Harvard Design School is now accepting applications for its second class. The program is a long-term, high-level, international educational experience for successful real estate executives who want to expand their horizons and prepare to assume larger roles of leadership in their communities and in the industry.

The AMD Program curriculum is divided into three main parts: real estate issues, general business management, and leadership. Classes emphasize strategic planning, finance, new technology, leadership development, and public policy affecting real estate development and land use. Courses are led by faculty from the Business School, the Kennedy School of Government, and the Design School, as well as by top real estate faculty from other universities and eminent practitioners from around the world. Executive fellows include Gerald Hines, Charles Shaw, and Gene Kohn.

June 3 is the application deadline for the six-week program, the first session of which takes place July 7-19. The program then reconvenes on Feb. 9-14, 2003, and again on July 13-25, 2003. In addition, there's one week of elective coursework. For more information, application materials, and faculty profiles, visit the Web site at http://www.gsd.harvard.edu/execed or call (617) 496-6164.
