KSG offers book tours on Web

The Kennedy School of Government (KSG) is offering book tours these days. Using the power of the Web, the school is highlighting recent publications and research from the KSG community on a wide variety of issues and disciplines, ranging from the economics of the environment to ethics in journalism. Each week, a different book is featured on the Virtual Book Tour Home Page (http://www.ksg.harvard.edu/virtualbooktour) along with a video presentation by the author discussing the book, reviews, related readings, and an interactive element such as a quick poll or online discussion. In addition, all visitors to the site can enter their names electronically in a weekly raffle for a signed copy of the book-of-the-week. The book tour is a unique opportunity to see the rich research work that is generated at the KSG. Besides KSG and Harvard participation, the Virtual Book Tour has attracted visitors from all over the world.

HBS's holiday bus shuttle

Throughout the academic year, the Harvard Business School's (HBS) Student Association (SA) Ventures will be running a holiday schedule shuttle bus service to New York City from the HBS campus. For the upcoming Veterans Day weekend, the bus will depart HBS (in front of Spangler patio) on Friday, Nov. 9, at 3:30 p.m., and will return Monday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m. A Thanksgiving shuttle will leave Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 3:30 p.m., and return Sunday, Nov. 25, at 3 p.m. The shuttle will pick up patrons in New York at 42nd Street between 8th and 9th avenues (approximately one block from the Port Authority).

Tickets cost $75 roundtrip and $50 one way. To reserve a ticket, e-mail ventures@hbs.edu. Tickets must be purchased in the SA Ventures office, located on the HBS campus in the Spangler Center, Room 007.

Cuno delivers Radcliffe lecture

James Cuno, director of the Harvard University Art Museums, will deliver the Radcliffe Seminars Annual Lecture in the Arts and the Humanities today (Nov. 8) at 3 p.m. Cuno will speak on "Art Museums Today: Popular Pressures and the Public's Trust," at the Cronkhite Graduate Center, 6 Ash St.
