After school is a time for learning
University, Boston, others join to enrich after-school hours for kids
Giving kids something constructive to do between the time school lets out and the time their parents come home is the aim of a new $23 million partnership involving Harvard, the city of Boston, and nine other nonprofit and for-profit institutions.
American Muslims expound on diversity
This year's "Islam in America" conference challenged preconceptions of Muslim life and culture, from the presence of the high-level professional and highly visible women who participated in the panel "Muslim Women as Leaders in America" to the exhibit showcasing artifacts, stories, and photos of Muslims in America as early explorers in the 17th century and as African-American slaves.
