Indecent assault at Lamont Library
On Friday, Feb. 23, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) responded to a report of an indecent assault at the Lamont Library. The victim, not affiliated with the University, was awakened by something moving under her buttocks. When she stood up to see the suspect, he grabbed his belongings and fled the library in an unknown direction. HUPD and Cambridge Police conducted a thorough check of the area with negative results.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, 6 feet tall, medium build and complexion, with short-cropped hair. He was wearing a long black wool dress coat, a black multicolored design sweater, dark pants, and carrying a black backpack.
