Kaplan named Visiting Lombard Lecturer at KSG

Rick Kaplan, president of CNN-US from 1997 to 2000, will join Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government next month as the Visiting Lombard Lecturer at the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics, and Public Policy. Kaplan will teach a module on the crisis facing the U.S. news media.

"In Rick Kaplan's long career, he has felt the heat of controversy and the glory of achievement. Both experiences should make his course fascinating," said Alex S. Jones, director of the Shorenstein Center.
