The Practice

Photos by Kris Snibbe

The men's squash team stretches out together before practice while Margaret Elias '02 hurries by on the way to her own practice.

The Harvard men's and women's squash program has enjoyed a tradition of success since the men began playing in the early 1920s.

Continuing their winning ways as they power into the year 2000 under the direction of new mentor Satinder Bajwa, the teams, so far this season, boast perfect records -- Men: 4-0; 2-0 Ivy; Women: 3-0; 2-0 Ivy.

And both teams seem to be well aware of the famous road to perfection: practice, of course. And practice some more, at the Murr Center's gleaming squash courts.

Frances Holland '00 smashes the ball after it rebounds off the glass backboard of the court.

Colby Hall '01 uses her racquet as a stretching aid in preparation for a hard practice.

With arms raised, Shondip Ghosh '01 gets his blood pumping by running around the court.
