President to hold office hours for students

President Neil L. Rudenstine will hold office hours for students in his Massachusetts Hall office on Thursday, Dec. 9, from 4 to 5 p.m.

In January, Provost Harvey Fineberg will hold office hours on Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 4 to 5 p.m. and Rudenstine will hold hours on Wednesday, Jan. 5, from 4 to 5 p.m.

Postdoctoral fellowships available for Medical School affiliates

The Moseley Traveling Fellowship provides fellowship funds to graduates of Harvard Medical School for postdoctoral study in Europe. Fellowships are awarded for no less than one year for research in the basic or clinical sciences. Individuals who have already attained faculty rank at Harvard or elsewhere will not be eligible for these awards.

The Warren-Whitman-Richardson Fellowship provides research fellowship funds that are not restricted to alumni of Harvard Medical School. The fellowship does not require overseas travel. The award is directed toward M.D. scientists who require further training.

‘Lavender Lunch’ to be held at Dudley House

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual staff are invited to a monthly brown-bag Lavender Lunch hosted by the Harvard Gay and Lesbian Caucus. The next lunch will be held Friday, Dec. 17, noon to 1 p.m., in the Graduate Student Lounge in Dudley House.

Theater director/producer Prince to join discussion

Veteran musical theater director and producer Harold Prince will discuss his career in a Learning From Performers program on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. in the Cabot House Living Room, 60 Linnaean St. Winner of 20 Tony Awards, Prince is the Office for the Arts’ 1999-00 Kayden Visiting Artist. Admission to the talk is free; no tickets are required.
