Kunz, Former HMS Faculty Member, Dies at 81
Lawrence Kunz, former associate professor of microbiology and molecular genetics at the Medical School, died Oct. 27 in Deutsches Altenheim nursing home in West Roxbury. He was 81. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Kunz attended St. Peters College in New Jersey, served in the 15th Medical Corps in Italy during World War II, and, under the GI Bill, earned a doctorate in bacteriology from Harvard. He lectured at Harvard Medical School from 1950 to 1988.
