HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES Faculty Council‹ Oct. 20
Dean Paul Martin (DEAS and Physics) reviewed for the Council recent IT developments in the Faculty. Present for this discussion were Arlene Becella (registrar), Joshua Blatt (manager of Information Services in the FAS), Nancy M. Cline (Roy E. Larsen Librarian of Harvard College), Ken Ledeen (consultant to the Registrar's Office), Dean Geoffrey M. Peters (Administrative Resources), and Franklin M. Steen (director of the FAS Computer Services). The Council also discussed with Dean Michael Shinagel (Continuing Education and University Extension) current instruction offered in the "Distance Learning" format by the Division of Continuing Education. The preliminary docket deadline for the Nov. 9 Faculty Meeting is Monday, Oct. 25, at 9:30 a.m. The Council next meets on Nov. 3.
