KSG Lectureship Created In Memory of Raymond Vernon


A memorial service will be held for Raymond Vernon on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 4:30 p.m. in the ARCO Forum, Kennedy School of Government, 79 J.F.K. St. A reception will follow the service.Dean Joseph S. Nye Jr. has established a new lectureship at the Kennedy School to honor the life, career, and legacy of Vernon.A faculty member at the School since 1981, Vernon was a founding father and central pillar of the School's Center for Business and Government and a deeply respected scholar, teacher, and friend to countless individuals over his many years of association with Harvard University. The Raymond Vernon Lectureship in Public Policy Fund will be a permanent endowment, the annual earnings from which will provide support to underwrite the salary, research, and support of its incumbent.
