FREEDOM IN HARMONY. The 90 voices of the Libertas Choir of South Africa filled Tercentenary Theatre during a July 9 concert from the steps of the Memorial Church. The group, which just ended a three-week U.S. tour, is South Africa’s first adult choir whose members are drawn from all parts of South African society.

 

 
GOLFING FOR DOLLARS. John G. O’Brien ’72, CEO of Cambridge Health Alliance, watches his putt roll toward the cup as partner Tom Workman ’72, Cambridge Hospital chief of emergency services, observes during the Cambridge- Harvard University Golf Tournament held last month. The tournament benefits the Cambridge Fund for Housing the Homeless. Held at the Thomas P. O’Neill Golf Course, the tournament raised more than $4,000 to provide direct assistance to individuals and families seeking stable housing. One hundred forty golfers participated in the annual event, which is sponsored by the city of Cambridge, Harvard, and local businesses.

HARVARD HERO. Pat McSheffery (left) was among 43 individuals and teams from Central Administration named as "Harvard Heroes" by their peers and honored by President Neil L. Rudenstine at a Sanders Theatre celebration in June. Celebrating with McSheffery is Frank Bilodeau, a colleague in Financial Administration.
