BosTix at Harvard Expands Services

BosTix at Harvard has expanded its services to include Ticketmaster, a major vendor of tickets for national concerts, sporting events, Broadway shows, and other events.

Upcoming events through Ticketmaster in the area and around the country include all of the concerts at the BankBoston Pavilion and the Tweeter Center, major sporting events, the WOODSTOCK '99 music festival in New York, the World Wrestling Federation, and Cabaret and Evita on stage.

BosTix, located in the Holyoke Center Arcade, sells tickets to Harvard student arts and athletic events, performances by local arts organizations, and professional events throughout the Greater Boston area, in addition to the new Ticketmaster events. It is best known as Boston's only half-price, day-of-performance venue for major area theater productions.

Arts/Boston, a not-for-profit community box office and audience development organization, operates BosTix at Harvard, Faneuil Hall, and Copley Square. "With BosTix at Harvard a Ticketmaster outlet, we will be offering even more entertainment opportunities to the Cambridge community," said Catherine Peterson, executive director of Arts/Boston.

BosTix at Harvard is a collaboration between Arts/Boston and five Harvard departments: the Harvard Events & Information Center, the Sanders Theatre Box Office, Harvard Planning & Real Estate, the Office for the Arts at Harvard and Radcliffe, and the Harvard- Radcliffe Department of Athletics.
