HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES Joint Center for Housing Studies Offers Two Awards for Best Paper or Design on Housing
The Joint Center for Housing Studies is offering two prizes for the best graduate-level research or design projects on housing. The competition is open to all University graduate students. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 14. Winners will be announced on May 28. Papers should be submitted in a double-spaced, single-sided format with the paper's author and contact information included on the cover page. Design projects will be judged by their drawings and accompanying explanation of the project. Each award, one each for a design and research project, comes with a $100 cash prize. The Joint Center for Housing Studies analyzes the ways in which housing policy and practices are shaped by economic and demographic trends and provides leaders in government, business, and the nonprofit sector with knowledge and tools for formulating effective policies and strategies. The Joint Center is a collaborative unit affiliated with the Harvard Graduate School of Design and the Kennedy School of Government. To deliver a paper in person, come to the Joint Center offices, 50 Church St., 3rd Floor (above the Brew Moon Restaurant).
