Radcliffe Appoints Interim Vice President for Finance and Administration
A. Keene Metzger has been appointed Radcliffe's
interim vice president for finance and administration, Radcliffe
President Linda S. Wilson announced. Metzger, who has 20 years of
experience in financial and administrative management, most
recently served as vice president and treasurer of Somerville
Hospital. He holds degrees from Harvard College, and Harvard
Business School, and attended Harvard Divinity School.
"Mr. Metzger's impressive professional
background and his knowledge of the Radcliffe and Harvard
communities make him an ideal candidate for this important
position," said Wilson. "I know I speak for everyone at
Radcliffe by welcoming him to his new job."
Prior to his 16 years at Somerville Hospital, Metzger served
from 1976 to 1982 as the director of finance for Transitional
Employment Enterprises, a nonprofit employment and training
program based in Boston. From 1974 to 1976, Metzger was a senior
accountant with Coopers & Lybrand. In addition to his professional
experience, Metzger is president of the Somerville Homeless Coalition
as well as president and treasurer of ShortStop Inc., a shelter for
homeless adolescents.
"I look forward to working with Keene," said
Radcliffe Treasurer Nancy J. Dunn. "His experience in managing
complex environments, his knowledge of the Harvard community,
and his delightful interpersonal skills will be a strong asset to
Radcliffe."
Metzger will succeed Dunn, who currently serves as
Radcliffe's treasurer and as a member of the Radcliffe board of
trustees. Dunn left her position as vice president for finance and
administration last December to assume a senior administrative
position at the World Wildlife Fund in Washington, D.C.
