President Neil L. Rudenstine and Provost Harvey Fineberg will hold office hours for students in their Massachusetts Hall offices. President Rudenstine will be available on Wednesday, March 17, from 4 to 5 p.m. Fineberg will be available on Friday, March 12, from 4 to 5 p.m. Office hours are held on a first-come, first-served basis.
Funds available for study in civil rights, civil liberties The Mark DeWolfe Howe Fund For Study and Research in Civil Rights-Civil Liberties and Legal History, created in memory of the late Professor Howe, makes available monies to support study and research, broadly construed, in civil rights, civil liberties, or in Anglo- American legal history in the United States by students, faculty, officers of administration, or recent graduates of Harvard and Radcliffe. Those who wish to apply, either for the coming summer or for the academic year 1999-2000, should submit a brief written statement of their proposal to John H. Mansfield, c/o Susan Norton, Hauser Hall 506, Harvard Law School, Cambridge, 02138, no later than Friday, April 16. Application forms may be obtained from Mansfield's office at the stated address.
Korean Association to hold banquet The Korean Association will hold its first-ever banquet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 12, in the Eliot Dining Hall. A multi-course, all- you-can-stuff-in-your-mouth, authentic Korean dinner will be served. In addition, members of the Korean Association will entertain participants with traditional performances (drumming/fan dance) and singing. Tickets are $10 ($8 in advance). Tickets can be purchased from Korean Association board members, or e-mail a ticket request to ka@hcs.harvard.edu.
Harvard Faculty Club offers special menus, events The Harvard Faculty Club is offering Sunday brunch with seating from noon to 1 p.m. and Tea and Sherry by the Fire on Sundays from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Both are by reservation only. From March 1-26, authentic Italian cuisine ("A Taste of Italy" ) will be prepared under the supervision of Chef de Cuisine Angelo Minoggio from noon to 1:30 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. For information, call (617) 495-5758.
