The conference will focus on four case studies: "Political Incentives and Sting Operations: The Salta, Argentina, Case" presented by Luís Moreno Ocampo, president of Transparency International, Latin American and Caribbean; "Reforming the 'Control Agencies': The Case of the Police in Mexico City" presented by Samuel del Villar, chief prosecutor of Mexico City; "Reforming Municipal Services: Institutional Change in La Paz, Bolivia" presented by Ronald Maclean, former mayor of La Paz, Bolivia; and "Transparency and Accountability: The Case of Public Hospitals" presented by Ernesto Schargrodsky, professor, Torcuato Di Tella University, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
