Daffodil Day Proceeds Go To Fighting Cancer

The Office of the Vice President for Government, Community and Public Affairs is launching its 11th annual "Daffodil Day" drive for the American Cancer Society. Representatives around the University are accepting orders for bouquets of daffodils. The proceeds will be used in the fight against cancer. Last year's contributions topped $24,000.

February (and the first week of March) is the time to make "Daffodil Day" orders. The bright yellow harbingers of new life will be delivered the week of March 22, the first week of spring.

To order bouquets of daffodils -- $5 for a bouquet of 10 flowers -- see your department or office representative, or mail or hand- deliver orders and checks (payable to the American Cancer Society) no later than Friday, March 5, to: Carole Lee, Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs, 2 Garden St., Cambridge MA 02138.
