At the Faculty Council's eleventh meeting of the year, Professor Harry R. Lewis, Dean of Harvard College, introduced a discussion of the recent Report from the Standing Committee on Advising and Counseling. Present for that conversation were past and current members of the Committee, as follows: Dean Thomas A. Dingman (Harvard College), Professor Daniel Donoghue (English), Dean Deborah Foster (Undergraduate Education), Elizabeth Marks '99, Dean Elizabeth Studley Nathans (Freshmen), and Professor Donald Pfister (OEB and Master of Kirkland House). Representing the Undergraduate Council were Kamil Redmond '99 and Noah Seton '00.

The Council also received the Annual Report from the Coordinating Committee on Sexual Harassment, introduced by Dean Garth McCavana (Student Affairs -- GSAS), the chair of the Committee. Dean Elizabeth Doherty (Academic Planning) was present for that discussion

The Faculty next meets on Tuesday, Feb. 16, and the Council next meets on Wednesday, Feb. 17. The preliminary docket deadline for the March 9 Faculty Meeting is Monday, Feb. 22, at 9:30 a.m.
