Harvard Planning and Real Estate has commenced construction on Phase 2 of the Holyoke Center Arcade improvements, which includes installation of new doors at the Massachusetts Avenue entrance, improved lighting, signage, and upgraded mechanical systems. Construction began yesterday and is expected to be completed in March.

The improvements will also correct a problem related to weather- induced winds that have resulted in the shattering of the Mt. Auburn Street entrance doors, which will also be replaced during this project.
