Crimson Rocks Skating into Beanpot

The Crimson (8-9-1, 3-9-1 ECAC), winners of six of its last seven games, is the hottest of the four teams entering the 47th Beanpot as it looks for its 11th title overall and its first since 1993. Harvard faces Northeastern on Feb. 1 in the semifinals at 6 p.m. at the Fleet Center. The Crimson is also a perfect 5-0 in non-conference play this season, including wins over B.U. and B.C. The Beanpot spell was lifted one year ago for coach Ronn Tomassoni's squad, which snapped a seven-game losing streak at the tourney by rallying from behind late in the semifinals to down B.C., 5-4, in overtime. The Crimson then fell, 2-1 in OT, in the championship to B.U., the four-time defending champ.
