The Faculty Council, at its tenth meeting of the year, discussed a draft of the Dean's Annual Letter to the Faculty.

The Council also approved the legislative language for a proposed change in the name of the Standing Committee on Neuroscience (for the February Faculty Meeting), and the language for a proposed new Standing Committee to offer Ph.D. degrees in Government and Social Policy and Sociology and Social Policy (for the March Faculty Meeting).

The Council next meets on Feb. 10. The preliminary docket deadline for the Feb. 16 Faculty Meeting is Monday, Feb. 1, at 9:30 a.m.
