HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES
Grant-Research Help Offered by OSR
Looking for a grant? The Office for Sponsored Research (OSR) subscribes to two electronic services that can help faculty primarily, but also students, to find a sponsor: SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) is a database of thousands of federal and nonfederal funding opportunities, searchable by anyone using a computer with a Harvard Internet protocol (IP) address.
SMARTS (SPIN Matching and Researcher Transmittal Service) is an e-mail service that notifies registrants of new and updated program announcements from the SPIN database.
To use either of these services, go to the OSR home page at http://vpf-web.harvard.edu/osr/ra/, select the Resource Information bar, and under the heading "Funding Opportunities," select INFOED:SPIN or INFOED:SMARTS/GENIUS. For assistance in using either service, please contact Ellen Birnbaum, OSR resource information coordinator, at 496-3139, or e-mail ellen_birnbaum@harvard.edu.
