The Faculty Council, at its eighth meeting of the year, met with Professors John Dowling (Molecular and Cellular Biology), Anne Harrington (History of Science), and Jerome Kagan (Psychology) to discuss the work of the Faculty's Standing Committee on Neuroscience.
The Council also discussed with Dean William Todd (Undergraduate Education and Slavic) the use of Science AP scores to meet the Core science requirement.
Additionally, the Council accepted the Dean of the Faculty's proposal that Professor Werner Sollors (English and Afro-American Studies) be invited to join the Council in succession to Professor Christie McDonald (Romance Languages), who will be on leave during the spring term. The Council elected Professor Warren Goldfarb (Philosophy) to succeed Professor McDonald on the Docket Committee.
The Council next meets on Jan. 6. The preliminary docket deadline for the Jan. 12 Faculty Meeting is Monday, Dec. 28, at 9:30 a.m.
