Holiday Fair to be held at Education School
A holiday arts and crafts fair with crafts made by local artisans as well as items from around the world will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Gutman Conference Center, Gutman Library, 6 Appian Way, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, sponsored by the Graduate School of Education and the Gutman Library, will include refreshments and music.
Noontime Concert to feature Mendelssohn String Quartet
The Mendelssohn String Quartet - the Blodgett Artists-in-Residence - will perform String Quartet in F Major by Maurice Ravel during the Dean's Noontime Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 12:15 p.m. in the Faculty Room, University Hall. The event, sponsored by the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Music, is free and open to members of the Harvard Community.
The members of the quartet are: Nick Eanet, violin; Nicholas Mann, violin; Ulrich Eichenauer, viola; and Marcy Rosen, cello.
Thanksgiving Interfaith service to be held at Memorial Church
All members of the Cambridge community, students, and faculty are invited to join together in an interfaith celebration of Thanksgiving on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Church. The service celebrates Thanksgiving as a tradition that transcends both cultures and continents, offering a time to reflect and be thankful.
Brazilian Garden Exhibit at the GSD
"Roberto Burle Marx's Legacy: Two Gardens in Brazil" will be on display at the Graduate School of Design's Gund Hall Gallery, 48 Quincy St., until Nov. 27. Marx is considered Latin America's most influential landscape architect and is an internationally renowned figure in the modern arts. During his 62-year career, he produced more than 2,000 gardens and public spaces, and was among the first advocates for the protection of the rain forest.
