HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES Whoopi!
Academy Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg participated in an informal question-and-answer session with students inside Sanders Theatre on Monday. Goldberg's visit was cosponsored by the Learning from Performers program and was part of the Harvard-Radcliffe Office for the Arts' 25th anniversary celebration. Goldberg delivered the Amy Smith Berylson Lecture, part of the Harvard College Women's Initiative, sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Harvard College. Goldberg is known for her humanitarian efforts on behalf of children, the homeless, human rights, the battle against AIDS, and many other causes and charities.
