Knafel Center Plans To Be Discussed

An open meeting to discuss Harvard's current planning activities for the Knafel Center for Government and International Studies will be held on Thursday October 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Piper Auditorium, Gund Hall, Graduate School of Design, 48 Quincy Street. Architect Henry Cobb will describe his recommendation to configure the Center within two buildings, one that would replace Coolidge Hall, and the second to be constructed at the location of the current UIS building, 1730 Cambridge Street. The two buildings would be connected by a tunnel beneath Cambridge Street. The University is interested in discussing this concept with the community prior to moving forward with more detailed design development. All members of the community are welcome to attend.
